Firstam School Policies and Procedures
First American School of Real Estate classes are held in locations throughout the greater Puget Sound region and Washington State.

Upcoming Classes

All our classes are booked through First American's Sales Representatives, or the Seattle King County Association of Realtors. Please contact your Firstam rep directly for more information, or click here to see a list of upcoming classes.

All classes are interactive, instructor-lead, classroom style delivered in locations all around Seattle, Bellevue, and Puget Sound.  Please contact your First American Title and Escrow Representative for information on upcoming classes or to book a class in your real estate office.

Attendance

Please confirm the start and end time of your class with your Firstam sales representative.  If you arrive late or leave early, you may not receive your clock hours.

Reissuing Certificates

We need the following information in order to reissue your certificate:

Your name
Real estate office name
The location where you took the class
The date of the class
Where/How to send the reissued certificate to you

Before we can reissue your certificate, we need to confirm your attendance at the class.  Our records are filed by date.

Course List  Our course list includes these classes, but is not limited to:  How to Read a Title Report, Escrow Fundamentals, Internet Security, Contact Management Systems, Title and Escrow Insider Innovations, 1031 Tax Exchange, Palm/PDA Basics, The EAGLE Policy, Microsoft Outlook, The Short Sale Transaction, and Lead Generation.  Technology course prerequisites include a fundamental knowledge of computer basics. 

Course Requirements
  To complete your course and receive continuing education credit you must complete the registration form including your signature, complete any makeup lessons within a 6-month period, attend the required amount of time, and pay the required tuition.  There is no auditing of any course.  A student that attends a course must pay the required fee.

Admission  All courses are open to all persons whether or not they are licensed real estate agents. First American Title School of Real Estate will not deny admission, base course fees, or base standards for successful completion of a course on a student's race, color, sex, religion, national origin, handicap, familial status, age, or sexual orientation.

Causes for Dismissal or Preclusion  A First American Title School of Real Estate Instructor or a consultant hired on behalf of First American may preclude or dismiss a student from the classroom if a student may affect or is affecting the integrity of the learning environment.  Conditions for readmission are based on the mutual agreement of the instructor, student and the school administrator(s).

Refunds  Any student may receive a full refund of pre-paid tuition prior to the course date.  To receive a refund contact First American Title School of Real Estate.  Refunds in other circumstances are granted by the administrator(s).

Course Materials  Students may receive a workbook, handouts, and other materials as a part of the course. Unless otherwise stated, the course materials are the property of First American Title School of Real Estate and are not to be reprinted or distributed without permission. 

Certificates  Certificates will be mailed directly to the student when the course is completed and the tuition has been paid. First American Title School of Real Estate will maintain records on students that take courses for 5 years as required by the State of Washington. The student can request a duplicate certificate in writing noting the month, year and location that the course was completed.
